We’re committed to helping our amazing clients deliver their goals, break records and win championships. We’re currently looking for a consultant sports psychologist to help us deliver this as we grow over 2021.
This role is a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary consultancy, who have a rich heritage of working with leading organisations and individuals delivering performance nutrition services within elite sport - including; Arsenal FC, England Football, France Football (2018 World Cup winners), Chelsea FC (2020-21 Champions League winners) and Team GB Olympic teams and athletes. Not only can you make a meaningful difference to our clients' lives, and work with some of our lovely team (Soraya, Andy, Ollie, Hannah, Terri, Charlie and James).
As the first psychologist on our team, your focus is on building the right evidence-based psychological infrastructure to support our clients. You will proactively deliver performance-focused psychological services to athletes which develops and consolidates consistent performance behaviours and positive mental health. You will design and deliver psychological support, which enables our elite talent to thrive, alongside monitoring and refining service delivery. All delivery will be remote.
In the next 12 months you will:
Work as a consultant sports psychologist alongside our performance nutritionists and chefs
Support our clients in achieving their ambitious performance goals for the year by using evidence-based psychological frameworks and models to improve performance
Play an active role in our growing human performance consultancy, to shape our internal processes to inform insights on clients
Support an organisational culture and environment that is friendly and inclusive
For this role we specifically need someone with a proven track record of delivering results with elite performers:
You have a masters or doctorate degree in sports or clinical psychology
You have British Psychological or British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences practitioner accreditation, in addition to HCPC registration
You’ll be from a background where you have extensive experience in elite sport, delivering psychological services to support athlete performance and wellbeing, as part of a multidisciplinary team
You are comfortable working independently and delivering support remotely (video consultations)
You demonstrate high levels of integrity and expertise, acting with discretion and maintaining strict client confidentiality
You maintain a comprehensive, indexed database of work conducted with athletes
You are an excellent and empathetic relationship builder, especially with younger athletes
You have an enhanced DBS Certificate, and have knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
You have excellent organisational and time management skills
